Mask wearing rules eased

'We can see you smile again!'  The government announced that as of Thursday 24th June, face masks are no longer mandatory in outdoor public spaces.  The decision comes following a steady decline in the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  However, the wearing of a face mask is still required at all indoor public spaces, including public transport.  It was also announced that from Monday 28th June, the overnight curfew, 01:30 to 05:30, will end.  Further easing will be for people vaccinated with both doses of a vaccine that can attend work and gyms without having to self-test.  The maximum number of seated customers at outdoor cafes, restaurants and tavernas goes up to ten per table from the current six, and the maximum number of people at fee-based beaches will be set to 120 per 1,000 Sqm.
