Glass Onion: Knives Out

The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery film sequel was released in November 2022.  The Glass Onion film's production designer Rick Heinrichs fell in love with a luxury hotel complex called Amanzoe, near Porto Heli and Kranidi, and used views from multiple villas to create a CGI island.  As the Amanzoe luxury hotel is located in the middle of Ermionida, Rick had to depend on visual effects to make it look like an island.  However, the Villa 20 at Amanzoe, which has a private spa, six pools and multiple dining spaces including two outside barbecue areas and a typical Greek taverna under the olive trees is available to rent, if you have a spare few thousands of euros.  Amanzoe's cheapest rooms cost €1,530-2,585 a night and that price increases to €4,000 during high summer.  The most expensive six-bedroom villa costs €13,500 in April and increases to €17,729 a night during high summer.

Glass Onion: Knives Out also filmed scenes on the island of Spetses, specifically the port of Dapia, where the actors were waiting to be picked up by Miles' super yacht.  Spetses is covered with incredible villas, an old harbour, coastal restaurants and horse-drawn carriages that make it a realistic destination for the friends of a multi-millionaire tech developer to wait for a ride on his yacht.

The first Knives Out film was released in November 2019 and the sequel Glass Onion: Knives Out Mystery limited cinema run was in November 2022.  It looks as if we will have to wait until November 2025 to see Daniel Craig in the third film of the 'Knives Out' trilogy, although with Netflix involvement, November 2024 seems the earliest potential release date.  We'll have to wait and see . . .
